Operations Manager Mexico

Mexico City, Mexico | Hybrid, full-time

The Operations Manager will belong to the senior management of the Mexican business. Together with the CEO and under the supervision of the Group Management, he or she will have to establish several processes within the company, including customer service, underwriting and collections. The Operations Manager will have to ensure customer satisfaction and operations efficiency. He / she will eventually manage some of the processes and exercise control over others.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures the development and implementation of internal rules and procedures that are in line with legal requirements, but also support the Company growth and achievement of targets
  • Hires and trains the employees in credit administration, customer service and administration, directly overseeing the team leaders and some of the experts
  • Coordinates and optimizes the activities related to assessing the creditworthiness of customers
  • Ensures flawless and efficient credit risk assessment, ensures the maintenance of a high quality of the internal data base with client data
  • Establishes and manages relationships with external suppliers of information services for credit risk assessment, including public institutions
  • Is responsible for portfolio monitoring and applying the procedures for maintaining the good quality of the assets
  • Establishes procedures and methodologies for managing the Company's outstanding portfolio, including interaction with providers of debt collection services
  • Ensures the efficient implementation and regular revision of the Company policies in the sphere of data protection.

  • Excellent people management, process management and organizational development skills
  • Plans and meets deadlines. Maintains a flexible work schedule to meet the demands of executive management. Hours may be long and irregular
  • Demonstrates commitment to continued professional growth and development.

Qualifications:

  • University education in the field of Business Administration, Economics or Finance
  • Minimum 4 years of management experience in the financial services sector with focus on credit cards and/or consumer financing. Experience in risk management or credit administration is a must
  • Previous experience working with Mexican regulatory institutions such as Central Bank and Consumer Protection Agency is an advantage
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in process optimization and the development of retail financial products
  • Knowledge of trends in the credit card industry and consumer financing is an advantage
  • Excellent command of Spanish and English language.
